SGRRC Offers Two Sessions in TN:

SGRRC is a day camp for girls ages 10-17 that empowers young women and promotes positive self-esteem through music. The camp offers instrument instruction in Guitar, Drums, Bass, Keyboard, Vocals, Hip Hop and Electronic Music. In addition, campers get to explore workshops in Songwriting, Recording, Music Herstory, DIY Arts & Crafts and Zine Making. Exclusive performances by women in the music industry offer campers an opportunity to experience a diverse range of musical styles followed by a Q&A session with performers. The most exciting part of camp week is the opportunity for campers to form their own band and collaborate on a song to perform at a showcase at the end of the week. Tuition is $250 and includes lunch for the week, workshop supplies, a camp t-shirt, and professionally recorded DVD of the showcase performance. SGRRC is a day camp for girls ages 10-17 that runs from 9am to 5pm. If campers are travelling from out of state, please contact us for assistance in arranging a host family. The mission of the Southern Girls Rock & Roll Camp is to support a culture of positive self-esteem and collaboration among girls while building community through music. SGRRC recognizes the potential of every young woman to be a strong, talented, creative and empowered individual while providing a safe space where all girls rock. |
